ALISTAIR MURPHY

Illustrator, Digital Media Specialist

As a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television I have worked in the digital, branding, advertising, gaming and animation industry for over 20 years. I have worked with companies such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, Netflix and many more. Through the years I have continually mastered the tried and true as well as dabbled in and adopted, (when appropriate), the best-suited software to make the most efficient workflows for me and my teams. I am well versed in waterfall and agile project management. When I'm not working in the studio, I study and practice traditional art at home as a classically trained illustrator. I was lucky to be one of 20 people worldwide to be accepted and completed a Ryan Kingslien mentorship in art psychology in 2015. 

Digital media specialist is what I'm mostly known for due to my talents encompassing 2D digital animation and illustration, 3D generalist, Zbrush 4.7 certification and After Effects motion graphics and compositing. I have spent a bit of time in UI and UX design as well as creating game docs and monetization predictions during my game design days.

 I like to see the big picture and know how everything works. This is so that I can make the proper decisions at the right time and ensure projects come together.
